Johnny Fred Coleman graduated Livingston Academy in 1959 where he earned varsity letters in football and basketball. He married his wife, Carol Ledbetter (Livingston Academy Class of 1958) in 1960. He began courting her after a chance meeting at Standing Stone State Park one Sunday when their fathers stopped to talk business. He was about 14 when he started writing Carol letters every week. Sid Carr was a 1986 graduate of Livingston Academy. From an early age, he loved drawing and creating artwork and after high school he attended the Nossi College of Art in Nashville and graduated from there in 1990. Sid returned to Livingston and owned and operated Upper Cumberland Sign Services until his untimely death in 2022. Sid’s signs and artwork can be found all around Overton and surrounding counties. Mark Houser was a 1976 graduate of Livingston Academy where he was captain of the football team, played baseball and won the History Award at graduation. He earned a B.S, Degree from Tennessee Tech University in 1980. Gerald Maynard was born in Detroit, Michigan, due to his parents moving there to find work and he attended elementary school in Michigan.
